Making the Workplace Work for Moms with Reshma Saujani

Reshma Saujani is Founder and CEO of Moms First and Founder of Girls Who Code

Women and moms in the workplace continue to face bias and burnout, leading many to opt out of the workforce. If this critical talent pool is to be retained, we need to address the complex childcare issue and its affordability. Using a lens of inclusivity, we can advocate for policies that advance affordable childcare options and solutions, and create a company culture where women are recognized for their abilities and achievements, mothers are not penalized for utilizing benefits, and employers are flexible in meeting women where they are. For over a decade, Reshma Saujani has been working to promote women’s and girls’ economic empowerment by leading various movements, working to close the gender parity gap, in the tech sector and advocating for policies to support working mothers.

Companies strive to return to the true meaning of inclusivity, equity, and belonging, understanding it looks different for each organization. Join Dr. Christina Marie Douyon and Dr. Amanda Weber, Co-Founders of  F.A.C.E Race Consulting, for this interactive session as we get back to the basics and explore how to create a culture where everyone can rise and thrive.
